Bobby Portis should get a chance to show all of us what he can do.

According to KC Johnson, Bobby Portis said he'd welcome a D-League Assignment and knows that his time will come: "The D-League's great for getting better. Once the time comes, I'll show the world what Bobby Portis can do."
People forget that Bobby Portis, who was the 22nd overall pick during the 2015 draft, was the best player in the loaded SEC last year where he averaged 17.5 ppg, 8.9 rpg and 1.4 bpg as a sophomore for the Arkansas Razorbacks. He also had a great run during the preseason where his per 36 minute numbers were at 17.5 points, 17.1 rebounds, 6.6 offensive rebounds, 2.1
assists and 1.7 blocks per game (source: blogabull.com). Yet, so far this season, the young 20 year old forward has not gotten a chance to showcase what he can do as he is only averaging 4.7 ppg and 1 rpg in very limited minutes. Well, this is very much understandable because of the very deep forward rotation that the Bulls have. Still, I hope Coach Fred Hoiberg can eventually find some playing time for this kid, who is incredibly versatile and athletic. With his on-court activity and ability to rebound at a high rate, he can surely be an important piece for the Bulls moving forward. Good thing, Bobby Portis is quite patient with the process.
