The Evolution of Kobe Bryant

When Kobe announced that this season would be his last and
that he would be retiring already, I guess, it was just natural for practically
everyone, who has grown accustomed to seeing the Black Mamba play and dominate,
to feel sad about the inevitable reality that one of the greatest players of
all time would be leaving the NBA. Yet, honestly, I felt like it was a blessing
that it happened that way, so that at least, we could all just savor each and
every moment that we have left to see Kobe suit up for the Lakers and just be
the best Kobe Bryant that he can be at 37. The decision of Kobe also allows him
to appreciate the season even more and say farewell to every city that he has
entertained for the past 20 years. At the same time, we will also get to appreciate
him more for all the wonderful things that he has done for the game and to also
thank him for all the legendary memories that he has inculcated into all of us.
All I can say is that I am very blessed to have seen Kobe Bryant transform
himself from a high school “phenom”,
who was confident enough to take potential game winners which he badly missed
or air-balled, to becoming one of the greatest clutch ballers to ever play the
game. Thank you Kobe “Black Mamba” Bryant. You were more than the so-called the
Michael Jordan of our time as you were simply “The Kobe Bryant” who would go
down as one of the best to ever play the game of basketball.
