The draft is over and free agency fever has reached its peak. This means one thing, it is now time to focus on the young prospects showcasing their skills in the NBA summer league.

Game 1 between the Miami Heat and the Indiana Pacers: Miami won 92-76.

Players who made an impression:
1) Justise Winslow (Miami Heat, 2015 draft 10th overall pick): The former Duke standout immediately showed why Miami really landed a gem during the draft two weeks ago. He was solid throughout and really looked like a legit NBA player from the get-go. He had a decent line of 15 points, 3 assists and 2 steals while shooting 4 out of 8 from the field and 6 out of 8 from the line. Most impressive stat for him was that the team was a +28 when he was on the floor. It would have been made even better if he had rebounded more. He did not even have a single rebound.
2) Myles Turner (Indiana Pacers, 2015 draft 11th overall pick): The former Texas Longhorn  showed his touch from the outside. He was 8 out of 11 from the field and was 1 for 1 from the three point arc. He had 20 points and 8 rebounds. He also added 3 blocks. He does have to lessen his fouls as he garnered 5 fouls and looked a step too late in some defensive sequences.
3) James Ennis (Miami Heat, Forward): He had an all around stat line of 13 points, 7 boards, and  5 dimes. In general, he looked steady.
4) Jarell Eddie (Indiana Pacers, Guard): Always nice to see lengthy 6’7 wings playing and shooting lights out. He was 4 for 6 from downtown, 6 for 9 from the field amounting to 16 points. He also had 6 boards.

Game 2 between the Detroit Pistons and Orlando Magic White: Orlando won 87-76

Players who made an impression:

1) Stanley Johnson (Detroit Pistons, 2015 draft 8th overall pick): He came off the bench but he still showcased his defensive prowess. He had 13 points, 4 boards and 3 dimes. He shot 5 for 8 from the field.
2) Adonis Thomas (Detroit Pistons, Forward): Played 35 minutes. Shot 50% from the field and went 3 for 4 from beyond the arc. He had 17 points for the game.
3) Keith Benson (Orlando Magic, Center): Also came off the bench but had a productive 19 points and 4 boards. He went 9 for 15 from the field.
4) Keith Appling (Orlando Magic, Guard): He had 17 points, 4 boards and 4 dimes. He was 9 for 10 from the line. Only downside was that he had 8 fouls, which by the way is legal in summer league.
